Consciously shopping has changed how I purchase, wear and buy things. Over time it subliminally sunk into my head that quality over quantity is best, and that you should know where your clothing comes from.
Clothing should make you feel good, fit effortlessly and make you happy.
not Perfect Linen is a perfect fit for that. Not only does it come from a consciously made place but it was also hassle free.
The idea of the clothing is for it to be simple, versatile and comfy.
It is made from the best of fabrics and made simply. It isn’t supposed to be perfectly ironed or hard to get on, like many beautiful pieces are. It’s supposed to be easy, effortless and natural feeling.
It is some of the comfiest clothing I’ve EVER been able to add to my wardrobe.

A while back I was gifted these amazing shoes from My Pop Shoes !
They are fabulously versatile, comfy and best of all Canadian Made ! They ship internationally and have a huge selection to choose from as well !
They also have a cool little kicker to them : they light up and are completely rechargeable.
They make for killer photos and are GREAT at night time !
And to top it all off they let me relive my childhood dreams of light up shoes, except they’re a million times cooler !

When I was younger people used to tell me I can’t all the time. I had one woman who even went as far as to tell me I didn’t know how to dress myself. I was bullied , made fun of and most definitely the odd one out. My younger years weren’t necessarily ones I choose to recall as I never really enjoyed them.
Thankfully, this benefited me in the long run. I developed chronic workaholic syndrome and worked my butt off every day to prove that I could make something of myself. I chose to focus on things that brought me joy rather than things that didn’t. I recall talking to adults and they’d always say pursue your dreams, and don’t give up. When I used to ask why they gave up on their dreams there was always an excuse, but never a good one.
I made it my goal in life to do things that brought me joy and allowed me to follow my dreams, no matter how impossible they seemed. And lastly to be able to be proud of myself and my own success at the end of the day.
It’s a constant struggle , in blogging there’s a lot of rejection. A lot of competition and a lot of work with no immediate results. In events it can be so hard to be realistic and forget to celebrate the wins. Doing what I love definitely was the harder option, I’m invested and feel all the emotions that come with working for myself. At the same time I’d never give it up for anything else.
If it wasn’t for all those people who told me I can’t I wouldn’t be where I am today, so follow your dreams. Learn from others mistakes and be proud of who you are.
Celebrate the small wins, cry over the failures and work relentlessly because one day the hard work starts to pay off.

Lately I’ve really been trying to pick timeless neutral pieces, as much as I love color… a more neutral palette is more sustainable in the long run.

This season I’ve really been trying to showcase a more Parisian, Sophisticated and Elegant look for fall.
This beret was a total impulse buy while I was in Calgary, turns out it’s become a staple & has really helped me achieve the Parisian look I’ve been going for !
