When Manulife Place asked me to take part in the Show Us Your Edmonton Style Campaign, I was obviously thrilled. In terms of luxe shopping Manulife Place is HEAVEN. They have so many amazing retailers that range from small locally owned boutiques such as Swish, Night Owl and Blu’s to Holt Renfrew. They also have great places to meet for a quick lunch like Zenari’s or if you’re feeling fancy you can eat at Holt’s Cafe— which is one of my personal favourite lunch spots.
My #ExclusivelyEdmonton style is being bold and different, it’s being unique and is a HUGE part of who I am. As much as I seem to be travelling 24/7 lately, Edmonton is home.
With that being said I try and express myself through what I wear. Dressing myself has become another creative outlet in which I can showcase what makes me who I am by showing off my colored hair, tattoos and piercings. I find inspiration for looks pretty much everywhere: through Fashion Week’s such as London , New York and Paris, through movies and t.v. shows like Gossip Girl or Devil Wears Prada as well as through Social Media.
In reality as much as you see all kinds of outfits with My Closet Journey my every day look is a pair of cute jeans, a comfy tee and a chic leather jacket with heels or a pair of cute kicks. It’s an easy outfit that you can dress up with say a beautiful Mackage Jacket or dress down.
With summer just around the corner there are obviously trends that I’m swooning over such as embroidery, jumpsuits and boho looks… but I mean, who isn’t? These are pieces that have slowly been filling my closet this season and I couldn’t be happier about it.
